At Heart of Kent Hospice, we’ve been providing compassionate care to patients with terminal illnesses and their loved ones for more than 25 years.
We offer personalised care that enables our patients to fulfil their ambitions and live as full and independent a life as possible for as long as possible.
We do this by helping to manage their symptoms through emotional, physical, spiritual and practical expertise and support. This care isn’t just given in the Hospice in Aylesford where we have our 10-bed Inpatient Unit, but in the community where we support the people of Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding villages.
While the majority of our 500+ patients and their loved ones are supported in their own homes, all are encouraged to participate in the range of social and wellbeing activities at out Outpatient Centre, Magnolia Place.
Since opening our doors in 1991, we’ve cared for and supported more than 10,000 patients and their families, friends and carers. Since then we have expanded our services to meet the needs of a growing and changing community.
Provision has transformed from the early years of the Hospice, looking after mostly cancer patients in the last few days of their lives, to the present day when we are helping even greater numbers of patients with often multiple and complex care needs in the last year of their lives.
None of this would be possible without the invaluable and generous support of our local community who raise more than 80% of our funds every year.
• We believe everyone deserves to die comfortably, with dignity and respect, and in a place of their choosing. If you can help us to meet this need by making a donation, fundraising or volunteering, call 01622 792200, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.hokh.org
