Nearly 100 people came together to celebrate some of the area’s brightest and best business talent at the debut Canterbury Business Awards at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, with the winners and runners-up being announced at a three-course dinner.
Among the honours, the customer service winner was Peace Together Ltd Financial Advice in Herne Bay. For the Hospitality title, the Compasses Inn, Pub Restaurant in Crundale, Sole Street, was named the top business.
The awards’ innovation category went to HRP Equestrian, an equestrian company specialising in inventing scientific products and scientific research of inventions in Canterbury.
Dodgems and Floss Design Agency in Canterbury emerged as the digital/creative business winner, with the entrepreneur title going to Supply Teachers Direct.
In the start-up category, the winners were The FAR Academy, an alternative education provider in Canterbury, with Dodgems and Floss Design Agency claiming the Small Business Award. The winners each received an exclusive Canterbury Business Award 2017 trophy and certificate.

The awards are being delivered in partnership between Equilibrium PR and Best Business Events and supported by the IoD Kent Branch and the FSB.
