The Tunbridge Wells Round Table is about to launch its annual giveaway to local good causes and this year it will be £20,000.
The group has given away more than £65,000 to local groups during the past four years.
The closing date for requests is 25 January 2016 and there will be a presentation of the cheques at The Royal Wells Hotel on the 12 March 2016.
The group has already started giving away some money at the end of 2015, with a donation to the Children’s Ward at Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Christmas.
A bucket collection at the Dunorlan Fireworks in November also raised £1,500 for Young careers.
Tunbridge Wells Round Table member Graeme Dewar told INDEX: “Tunbridge Wells Round Table are proud to launch our 2016 giveaway. We are a group of local professionals who meet regularly on a social basis but also with the aim of giving something back to the local community. The event in November was our 58th firework display in Dunorlan Park and all profits are distributed to local causes, the giveaway is just one method in which funds are shared. The more local charities that can benefit from our funds the better, and we encourage requests from all the different societies and individuals in need of funds within our community.
Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table ask that anyone wishing to be considered for the giveaway go to the website www.RTWRT.org and provide a little background about why the money is required and the amount of the donation required along with contact details.
