A Truly Successful Kent County Show

Organisers of the 2016 Kent County Show have reported that more than 80,000 visitors attended this year’s event. Held at the Kent Showground, Detling, they were also delighted that their Patron, the Duke of Kent, KG, attended on the opening day of the show, taking particular interest in the livestock and the young farmers who competed over three days. The Duke was also guest of honour at the President’s Lunch, sponsored by Brachers LLP and Savills, where he commented that he had once again “had a great time”.

Headlining the entertainment were The Bolddog Lings FX Motorcycle display team, while livestock entries saw an increase in 2016.

Lucy Hegarty, Show Manager, said: “The increased livestock
entries, good weather, wonderful displays and demonstrations gave this year’s show a really vibrant atmosphere.”
