It’s back with a bang – and better than ever – so go along and celebrate this spectacular annual event on Saturday 4th November.
Bonfire Night in the UK is steeped in history and tradition: we do it because it’s the anniversary of an attempt to blow up King James l and his government in the Houses of Parliament led by Guy Fawkes. Worldwide these days fireworks light up the skies to celebrate all sorts of events.
This year’s annual Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table Fireworks, in association with Buss Murton, is once again set to be a spectacular event. Celebrating its 60th anniversary it is the town’s largest single annual gathering each year. Dunorlan Park is a great natural amphitheatre for the stunning fireworks with the lake reflecting all of the action for double the spectacle!
The RTWRT’s biggest annual charity fundraiser takes place on Saturday 4th November. All of the money raised goes to local charities and last year more than £30,000 was given away to support initiatives and projects including a winter shelter programme, a food bank, disabled and elderly care, children’s mental health and community outreach programmes.
Light up the skies!
Gates open at 5.30pm and the firework spectacular sparks into action at 7pm. Tickets on the day cost £8 for adults and £5 for children (adults £6 and children £4 in advance). For a full list of where you can buy tickets in advance, visit www.rtwrt.co.uk
To help you beat the Bonfire Night chill there will be drink and street food stalls along with a fun fair and new for this year, a live performance from the Rock Choir.
INDEX, proud for another year to be media sponsor for the event, has three sets of four tickets (two adults and two children) to this ever-popular annual event to give away.
